Psychoanalytic
psychotherapist
I am a psychotherapist working primarily with adult clients on an individual basis, both in person in Tbilisi, Georgia, as well as online. I prioritize providing my clients with a safe and secure space that allows us to explore their feelings, fears, difficulties and anxieties, as well as how to share these emotions with others.

Our work together is built on a consistent schedule of 50-minute sessions once or twice a week in my office, and the promise of total confidentiality. I do not, under any circumstances, discuss my clients or the information they share with me, outside of our meetings.

My specialty is psychoanalytic psychotherapy, a method that allows me to work with a wide range of requests: from anxiety and feelings of helplessness, to grief and loss, to healing our relationships with others.

Here are just some of the problems I have helped clients with in the past:
  • Internal existential questions: Who am I? Why am I here? What kind of person am I?
  • Feelings that "no one understands me," or that "I do not understand others"
  • Anxiety and panic attacks;
  • Feelings of helplessness, uncertainty, and lack of control;
  • Psychosomatic symptoms;
  • Fear of death, illness, or the loss of a loved one.
  • Living through grief and loss (the death of a loved one, divorce, relocation, emigration, difficulty adapting to change);
  • Relationship problems with parents, children, partners, and colleagues;
  • Age-related crises (midlife crisis or fear of aging);
  • The presence of contradictory emotions (the tendency to idealize or devalue oneself, other people, feelings, or experiences);
  • Feelings of emptiness or depression ("I don’t want anything. I don’t know what I want. I don’t feel anything. Everything infuriates me. I just don’t care.");
  • Mood swings, rapid changes of emotions and feelings;
  • Codependent relationships and the complexity of separation.
